Politics apart, Rahul Gandhi provides an interesting illustration of how the limitations of vocabulary can sometimes handicap the expression of thought.
Watch this video with an open mind.
Imagine showing it to someone who is neither a Rahul Gandhi fan nor a Narendra Modi fan. Just a neutral mind, without political baggage.
Would that person necessarily understand the message as an attack on Modi? Or might the words actually be interpreted as a rather positive thought about him?
That is the interesting part!
Sometimes, what we intend to communicate and what our words actually convey can be two entirely different things.
Our thoughts are only as effective as our ability to articulate them. Vocabulary is not merely about knowing more words. It is about thinking clearly, making meaningful connections and communicating precisely.
Show this video to your family, particularly the younger generation. It is a good opportunity to discuss why reading matters.
READ. READ. AND READ SOME MORE!
No offence, Rahul ji! After all, you once famously said:
“Is answer ka mere paas koi question nahi hai!” 😄
Perhaps that itself was an unintended lesson in the subject!
